Watermelon Wheat

Watermelon Wheat serves a handful of masters.  It's an effort to get local ingredients into a Palmetto beer, and to bring a familiar Southern favorite into the beer as well.  50 melons were hand-peeled before being chopped up with an tri-blender previous used for dairy and throw into the kettle.  Watermelon Lager was its unsuccessful ancestor, with the Palmetto crew deciding wheat was a better base for the fruit addition.
