Covert Hops

Officially, "Covert Hops is a crafty ale. Its stealthy dark appearance belies a light body and beguiling hop aroma from the loads of herbal, piney hops (4+ lbs per barrel to be exact) that melds exceedingly well with its deliciously devious roasty flavor."

Unofficially, this beer is delightfully pungent. The sheer volume of hops involved are criminal, especially given the rather low ABV, but the small proportion of roasted malts in the malt bill help to stabilize the beer's flavor profile. The boil was done with 100% Columbus hops, but Apollo, Bravo, and Chinook joined Columbus in the dry hop.
