Gose
Germany is the birthplace of many beer styles, some of which have been nearly lost to antiquity. Gose is one of them, originating in Leipzig circa the 1700's. It's essentially a soured wheat beer with salt and coriander added. Westbrook's version is heavily tart, with the salt acting only as a balancing agent, not as a particularly distinct flavor note.
