Germany is the birthplace of many beer styles, some of which have been nearly lost to antiquity. Gose is one of them, originating in Leipzig circa the 1700's. It's essentially a soured wheat beer with salt and coriander added. Westbrook's version is heavily tart, with the salt acting only as a balancing agent, not as a particularly distinct flavor note.
As of July, 2013, Gose will now be available in cans as a seasonal release.
What do you get when you put yuzu juice in Gose? A variant called Gozu, on tap at the brewery as of October of 2013.
