Gene's Haufbrau

Gene's is an old bar among young bars in the Avondale/Triangle area of West Ashley, actually the oldest continually open in the city, but it's staffed and patronized by regular young'uns. Their claim to fame is, and has always been, the number of beers they offer, which is somewhere approaching 200.

That said, out of the near-200 there are many a stinker, and ordering a bottle is definitely a risk in terms of freshness.  But they have over twenty taps that pour plenty of respectable stuff, including occasional locals, so you'll have no problem getting a glass of something good. A plethora of board games and decent bar food don't hurt either.
