Mellow Mushroom (Mount Pleasant)

Mellow Mount Pleasant was the second of its kind in the Lowcountry, ostensibly following the same format as your standard Mellow Mushroom.  The familiar pizza menu is complemented by 20 taps, a good chunk of bottles to choose from, and a funky atmostphere just off of Highway 17.  

This one has since differentiated itself, especially in the beer department.  They play host to the annual Mount Pleasant Beer Festival, held right in the parking lot.  The second edition in 2011 saw around 35 breweries, including all 4 locals, pouring around 100 selections.  Live music, and the requisite pizza, helped to round out the day, with some proceeds going to a deserving local children's charity.
